A long overdue update

At this time last year, I was posting pictures while my tiny baby slept in my arms, but it's a whole new game now. Dylan's been keeping me running all summer (literally). Jonathan and I went to California for a much needed vacation in late July and came back to find that our little crawler (who was just taking a few steps in between his crab crawling) had turned into a sprinter during his few days with Grandma Campbell and Aunt Suzie. Check out this video of him on the go. We had a low key but fun birthday celebration. Dylan loved his cake and balloons, and is still enjoying all of his new toys. He didn't seem to love sharing all of the attention with his cousin Lena while she was here for the birthday weekend, but the rest of us had fun watching them play together. And as for the rest of the summer, we've been spending a lot of time playing outside and at the pool, Dylan had his first haircut yesterday (very traumatic experience), and feeding time is getting messier as he learns to use a spoon.
