Thanksgiving 09

We survived our first trip with Dylan. He did great on the flights to and from Nashville (slept the whole way), but unfortunately didn't sleep as well in the hotel. It was great to see so many family members and introduce Dylan to them... especially his cousin Lena! Here are a few of the pics from our trip.

Latest photos

Here are a few of the most recent pictures of Dylan. He's growing fast, both in size and developmentally. He's reached the stage where he's trying to grab everything in sight - coffee mugs, daddy's watch, shirt collars, the spoon that feeds him, and of course his feet. And he's even starting to dive for toys when he drops them or spots them on the floor now. We're going to have a mobile baby before we know it...

"Yes I CAN"

I guess Dylan overheard me telling people on Thursday morning that he can't roll tummy to back yet, because that afternoon he decided to show me that he can indeed roll both ways now. Check out the video... and for the record, while he doesn't do it in the video, he can pull that left arm out from underneath him and still manage to roll back the other way.

Meal time

Dylan had his first taste of rice cereal a couple weeks ago when he turned four months, but he wasn't a fan. We gave it a break after a few unsuccessful attempts, and then today he finally figured out how good real food can be. He almost finished his bowl (and maybe half of that ended up in his tummy instead of his face and hands). Of course, since the little boy loves to prove me wrong, I know that since I'm bragging about him tomorrow morning he won't open his mouth for the spoon...

Learning to sit

It took a while to get these pictures because I had to keep reaching out to stop Dylan from falling, but he's just starting to be able to support himself sitting up for a few seconds.

Dylan is four months old today...

And the sleeper that he's wearing in this picture is size 9 months! Somebody tell this kid to stop growing for a little while please.
