Dylan and his rocking dog
Now that he is exploring on his own, Dylan has discovered the rocking dog in his room. And just because he's too small to sit on it doesn't stop him from playing with it. He'll drag it out of the corner and try to eat the dog's ear, ribbon or nose. The last couple of these pics crack me up.

More crawling
Dylan put in a lot of crawling practice over the weekend, and he's quite the active little guy now. Check him out!

progress...
Dylan seems to be making progress towards learning to crawl. This video is about the best that he's done so far. Usually he just drops onto his belly as soon as he starts to move his arms and then I hear the nonverbal "I've fallen and I can't get up" cry. Although he apparently does know how to get back up, because I've walked into his rooms several times over the last few days to see him like this in his crib!

Feeding time
I've been slacking...
I can't believe my last post was 2 weeks ago! Dylan was sick last week (or teething, who really knows?), so he wasn't in much of a picture mood for a few days, nor have I been in the mood to sit at the computer and post. But he's feeling better now, so I have some catching up to do.
And he's still not crawling, but trying really hard now and rolling all across the house.

I think it's time to finish baby proofing...
Dylan pulled himself to standing on one of his toy baskets today. Luckily he can only do it from the sitting position and he needs me to sit him up, so I'm not worried about him cruising around the house just yet, but it's coming. These are bad pics because I was so close to catch him when he fell (he doesn't understand yet that he can't let go to grab a toy), but you can still tell what he's doing.

The little things
New stuff!
Dylan has been having fun playing with all of his new toys this week. While I'm sure that he'll start appreciating all the big toys in a couple months, right now he's liking the little things - new rattles, teething toys, and he loves the ball that Uncle Eric and Aunt Colleen sent.
The sleeper that Dylan is wearing in the picture above is a size 12 months. I can't believe it actually fits!
