I finally figured out how to upload from the video camera to the computer, so here are a couple videos of Dylan playing. He's pretty active these days, isn't he?

This is a picture of Dylan waking up from a nap after - for the first time ever - falling asleep on his own in his crib without being swaddled or rocked (and with no fussing)! It didn't last long, but it was still a great accomplishment for the boy who loves to fall sleep in my arms. It turns out all he needed was a blankie to cuddle and the song Bittersweet Symphony stuck on repeat.

Dylan's been doing this for a week or two now. He'll kick his legs up really high and then roll over onto his side. But he still has pretty far to go before he gets all the way over.

well he's not camera shy

I ran to get the camera yesterday because Dylan was making the cutest pouty face, with his lower lip sticking out and all (I know, I'm a fantastic mother for just thinking about capturing it on camera, but for the record, I was planning to comfort him after taking a quick pic). But as soon as I pointed the camera at him, he started smiling like crazy. So we got happy baby photos instead. Who knew that was all it would take for him to stop crying? But then he remembered whatever was making him so sad and picture time was over.
